To all the 2014 graduates- CONGRATULATIONS! It’s exciting when June comes around because so many people graduate and it is also the beginning of summertime for many people as well. Graduation is the end of being a student at your school. It’s the beginning of a new chapter in your book of life. It’s the opportunity to start your career or hone your skills for the work that God has called you to.
Like the seasons of a year, so is your life. There are different seasons that we all will go through, as it is written in Ecclesiastes 3:1-12.
With this in mind I want to draw your attention to the truth that we are already living in eternity now, even as we are passing through this earthly part of our existence. We must recognize that this is just the beginning of our existence that has no end. We are eternal beings! We don’t want our lot to be cast down with the wicked. All of mankind will stand before God, either at the great white throne judgment or the judgment seat of Christ and give an account for his life.
It’s a good thing that God’s plan for each of us is to show the best of His grace in our lives. Let’s tap into the best of His grace by living every day to the fullest potential of God’s plan. We are just living in the first season of our eternal existence but the next one is coming soon, so live ready today.
5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
